Home inventory for insurance after a move

Serial numbers, receipts, condition photos, and a PDF you can hand an insurer without rebuilding the catalog from memory.

01The catalog you packed is the catalog you need

Rebuilding a home inventory from memory after a loss is how people under-claim. If you photographed items going into boxes, keep those records after unpack. Add serials and receipts when you find them, not when you file.

02Condition before and after

A scuff on a table that existed at origin is not a claim. A crack that appeared at destination might be. Date-stamped photos on both sides of the move are the difference.

03Export something an adjuster can open

A PDF with rooms, items, values, and photos beats a folder of camera-roll screenshots. Update it once after you unpack, then again when you buy a new appliance. That is the whole product after the truck is gone.

04Use this with LabhDo
  • Home inventory after moving is how the packing catalog becomes rooms, serials, receipts, and a PDF. LabhDo is not an insurance carrier.
  • Moving inventory app is where that catalog is born: photograph as you pack, then keep the record.
